Jangankan bahasa inggris. Nilai pelajaran bahasa jawa saya aja jeblok melulu padahal saya orang jawa. Orang di rumah, di lingkungan semua ngomong jawa. Tapi klo ulangan di kelas dan ngomong bahasa jawa halus saya jelek banget nilainya. Saya ga cerdas dalam bahasa sebenarnya

Bahasa itu sulit buat saya. Klo bisa ya karena belajar. Itupun masih belepotan di sana sini heheheee...saya kesulitan dalamm mengolah kode* bahasa di otak saya. Perlu banyak pelajari kosakata agar di otak terekam. Jadi jejak* memori di otak akan lebih mudah mengubah/menterjemahkan bahasa itu.

Apa yang bisa saya bantu?

Bisa minta tolong kasih contoh nyatanya, lebih baik dalam bentuk laimat langsung atau situasinya seperrti apa?

Biasanya kalau membuka percapakan bisa dimulai dengan kalimat:

"May i help you?" atau

" May i assist you?"

kurang-lebihnya seperti itu. Tapi kalau satuan angka baiknya saya ulang lagi atau tidak perlu?

Sedikit Cerita...

Seorang kenalan yg berprofesi sbg alih bahasa subtitle teks film utk tv swasta pernah bilang ma gw... translator itu termasuk dlm jajaran orang pinter katanya, krn kemampuannya menerjemahkan bhs asing (English -> Bahasa) dlm berbagai versi bidang jurusan akademik yg berbeda mis : teknik, ekonomi, sastra, seni, dll.

Untuk translator teks film, tidak hanya piawai dlm menerjemahkan bahasa percakapan tp juga bgmn sebuah percakapan bisa enak 'dibaca' katanya.
contoh : Mom... I would like to introduce you to my friend... Danny.

Kenalan gw nanya ama gw, coba di artikan..
Gw jawab, Ibu... Sini dech… Aku ingin memperkenalkan temanku... Danny.

Tawanya pecah… Gak pake sini dech juga kali joe, sisanya benar tp msh terlihat formal utk ukuran sebuah teks film...

Sambil menjentikkan abu rokok kedalam asbak dia sedikit bercerita, setiap translator teks film memiliki style penerjemahan yg berbeda-beda joe, It will be better if teks dpt dibaca dengan sederhana, luwes dan jauh dari kesan kaku tapi msh dalam konteksnya. Utk contoh soal di atas dia menerjemahkannya dengan...

Yup, interpreter is not so easy.

Am as assistant of foreigners, must switch languages in second.

More difficult apprears when foreigners talk about engineeringa field and accounting. Neither both field was my expertice. Which I have to explain what our boss want the engineers to do.

The good things I can learn about anything.

Plus no mention if the foreigner have accents. Like Singaporean English, Italian, British, Scotland, Irish, American (most easy we can see it in television), India (quite difficult with their accent though their using British), and Australian.

Though is very fun, enligthen, open our horizon, full of knowlegde we can get from knowing other international languages not just English.

Kuncinya PD n hajar bleh ajah.

Oya, info org asingnya kalo kita lg belajar  bhs inggris. Mreka dgn senang hati bantu kita kalo ada salah2 pengucapan.

Looking for Something Special

I walked into the grocery store not particularly interested in buying groceries. I wasnt hungry. The pain of losing my husband of 7 years was still too raw. And this grocery store held so many sweet memories. He often came with me and almost every time hed pretend to go off and look for something special.

I knew what he was up to. Id always spot him walking down the aisle with the three yellow roses in his hands. He knew I loved yellow roses. With a heart filled with grief, I only wanted to buy my few items and leave but even grocery shopping was different since he had passed on.

Shopping for one took time, a little more thought than it had for two. Standing by the meat, I searched for the perfect small steak and remembered how he had loved his steak. Suddenly a woman came beside me. She was blonde, slim and lovely in a soft green pantsuit. I watched as she picked up a large pack of T-bones, dropped them in her basket, hesitated, and then put them back. She turned to go and once again reached for the pack of steaks. She saw me watching her and she smiled. "My husband loves T-bones, but honestly, at these prices, I dont know." I swallowed the emotion down my throat and met her pale blue eyes. "My husband passed away eight days ago," I told
her. Glancing at the package in her hands, I fought to control the tremble In my voice. "Buy him the steaks. And cherish every moment you have together."

She shook her head and I saw the emotion in her eyes as she placed the package in her basket and wheeled away. I turned and pushed my cart across the length of the store to the dairy products. There I stood, trying to decide which size milk I should buy. Quart, I finally decided and moved on to the ice cream. If nothing else, I could always fix myself an ice cream cone. I placed the ice cream in my cart and looked down the aisle toward
the front.

I saw first the green suit, then recognized the pretty lady coming towards me. In her arms she carried a package. On her face was the brightest smile I had ever seen. I would swear a soft halo encircled her blonde hair as she kept walking toward me, her eyes holding mine. As she came closer, I saw what she held and tears began misting in my eyes. "These are for you," she said and placed three beautiful long stemmed yellow roses in my arms.
"When you go through the line, they will know these are paid for." She leaned over and placed a gentle kiss on my cheek, then smiled again. I wanted to tell her what shed done, what the roses meant, but still unable to speak, I watched as she walked away as tears clouded my vision. I looked down at the beautiful rosesnestled in the green tissue wrapping and found it almost unreal. How did she know?

Suddenly the answer seemed so clear. I wasnt alone.. Oh, you havent forgotten me, have you? I whispered, with tears in my eyes. He was still with me and she was his angel.

Everyday be thankful for what you have and who you are.

ya, salah satunya,,, tapi belajar kalau ga dibarengin niat dan kerja keras... hmmm,,, bakat dan keberuntungan,,, apalagi bukan bahasa ibu.

Tapi sudah banyak aplikasi yang membantu dalam pelafalan, termasuk diantaranya besutan Goo*gle.

saat ini juga bisa main game dengan menggunakan fitur voice-chat, dan sangat membantu terutpama kalau main game FPS, MMORPG, dll yang membutuhkan respon cepat terutama tanggap dan kerjasama tim/kelompok.

Tapi jangan harap masuk grup bule membantu, apalagi kalau orang ukraina, rusia, itali, perancis, jerman, dll ;P
